March 1, 2008--- Sabrina Sanchez- Chicago, IL I was walking down the street in New Orleans when visiting my friend Lucas and saw a big cardboard print of Pete. I was immediately drawn to it, as I am to anything that is suggestive of cats or cat things. At first I thought it was just a random giant cardboard cat but when I went inside the store and saw all the Pete prints. . .WOW! I got so happy and excited! I found my new favorite artist!

November 26, 2007-- Melody Moeller--- MS--We both have black cats - my grandaughter will love this. She lost one cat, a dark tabby in Hurricane Katrina, ours survived somehow in our flooded home. It was devastating to her and I dont think she has really gotten over it. She now has a black cat she loves but still worries about her tabby and what may have happened to her. I am hoping the "Pete" book will help bring back the special friendship she had with her previous cat , who she said was her best friend. And this is a great series for her to start "collecting" with.

His spirit and personality reminded us of our own fiesty black cat and we were quickly hooked. We have since filled out \"cat room\" downstairs with countless Pete prints and it is one of our very favorite places to go to unwind. James Dean is certainly a tribute to artists and I know that we will continue to be loyal followers of his fantastic work! Two paws WAYYY up! :-)

I was on my camping honeymoon trip this last month, stopped in an art gallery (Savannah, GA) with my mechanic husband...and we both stopped in our tracks...we are both on a tight budget but we purchased the 2001 print with pete and the statue (from movie garden good evil..etc.) Next time we will purchase the print with the traveling themes...My husband absolutely loved the one with pete and friends in the big olde cadilac...Too Funny!! We spent an hourlooking at all the great originals and prints. We came back three times before we decided on an original of Pete at Marie Leveoux\'s Tomb and a numbered print of Pete on a Blue Couch. They are both hanging in our living room and we LOVE Pete.

March 19-- Beth Gerl-- Westminster, MD--- I was at an art show walking by booths of stupid art that Pete wouldn\'t even give a glance, when suddenly I was drawn to a picture of a dashing blue feline...I also had the honor of meeting the man who has made Pete a wanted star. I am now the owner of SIX Pete pics....and may have to join a Pete the Cat 12-step program. Pete is top dog (oops,, sorry about the dog reference) in my book.

The only problem is that there are soooooo many choices. I hate to be so common, but my favorites are also the most popular. Abbey Road is a hoot and probably gives away my age, but I don't care. It's a classic! Keep up the good work. I plan to collect Pete until I run out of wall space!

May 15- Russell Frinks~ Steamboat Springs, CO-- We first saw Pete at an art festival in Atlanta and my wife had to have him - that doesn\'t sound right but he is a cool cat. We were immediately hooked and changed our decor to match Pete. Our first Pete was Abbey Road. Second, was Pete with the Bird Girl in Savannah because we love the city. And third, was Pete with the Mini Cooper because my wife is British. We also purchased another Abbey Road for and sent it to our friend \"Pete\" in England - he\'s a bit of a cat person with 3 of his own. Thanks for bringing more laughs into our home. We\'ll keep adding to our collection...Our cat Poppet of course thinks these are portraits of her.

I somehow managed to live there for a summer and not notice Pete, but on returning my life had changed ever so slightly - I now had a black kitten of my own back at home. I just can't stop smiling, giggling and commented to anyone around listening. Even though the workers stare at the paintings for 8 hours everyday they go to work, I still must point out to them different parts I love as though they've never seen the print. I say "Oh, I can't stop laughing, Oh I love that one, I have to save for that one" They politely nod in agreement. I love Pete, Mr. Dean thanks for capturing the "cat allure"

November 14-- Mary Slocum~ Montevallo, AL--- "Pete looks so much like our illegitimate grandkitten, Stewart. Our daughter adopted Stew as a tiny kitten while in pharmacy school at Auburn. The lease didn't allow pets, and when her evil landlord found out about her cat she was forced to pay a $300 fine and was told to "get rid of the cat or you will be thrown out." She called home heartbroken and in tears. There was no way we were going to allow Stew to be surrendered, so as good grandparents, helped pay the $300 fine, and Stewart came to live with his grandparents for two months till the end of the fall semester. Over Christmas we moved our daughter and Stewart to a newer, nicer apartment that welcomed pets. After the move, Stewart seemed lonely. We now have a second grandkitten adopted from an Auburn shelter, who looks like the ginger cat in Pete's Crush. War Eagle! And MAY THE EVIL LANDLORD SPEND ALL ETERNITY AS A LITTER BOX!

November 7-- Joyce Genter-- College Park, GA--- Pete is the grand-kitty of a gentleman we met when in line for a flu shot at Costco. I believe he is Pete's person's father-in-law. He spoke so highly of the grand-kitty and his artist masters, that I had to check it out. Also, I happen to love the works of David Kessler, who also does Folk Art animals, so I was intrigued. Pete the cat is a new favorite! I love art that makes me smile. Pete the Cat does just that!

October 30- Patty Welch-- Fairport,NY-- ""I was very touched reading "About Pete & the Artist", as my husband and I have just recently lost our cat love of the last 13 years, Ashley. She was a nearly 4 year lymphoma survivor who won over everyone who met her. My husbands allergy to cats "get rid of that cat" his pulmunologist would say at every visit- to which my husband would respond "you don't know this cat!" has made us hesitate to attempt to fill the void left by her absence. I was encouraged reading of the match made between James and Pete. When I see Pete's prints I see that blue might be a feeling, but it can be a beautiful, whimsical color with many excellent memories attached!

September 12-Lorey Dill-Ooltewah, TN-"I was at a showing at the Plum Nelley Gallery in Chattanooga, TN when I saw my first Pete painting. Today I am using Catdinsky to teach Concentric circles in a Math lesson. The kids are now painting there own version of Kandinsky's Squares with Concentric Rings. While they are painting I am showing several of the Pete paintings form the internet for their entertainment and educatin. They are thrilled to see the connection of famous artists wtih someone that is actually living and painting today. My class would love to have a picture of PetetheCat in our classroom!

June 13th-Kelly Lane- Vedra Beach, FL- "I discovered PetetheCat while going to school in Athens at UGA. I fell in love with him the moment I saw him! I was very upset leaving Athens knowing I would be leaving Pete! I loved stopping by the Pete seller and looking to see what was new. I was estatic to realize when I moved that there was a Pete website. I check it often to expand my wishlist of prints! I hope one day to have them all! Just looking at Pete picks me up when I am feeling down. He's awesome! Thanks for sharing him with us!!"

June 6th- Renne Shawver- Stone Mountain, Ga- "We have seen James Dean and PetetheCat at the Decatur (Georgia) Arts Festival each year and really love that cat! This year we started our collection with an original "Door of Decatur" with Pete on a red VW, two originals (one of the City of DeCATur) and a variety of smaller prints. We love this cat!! James is a terrific guy and we highly recommend his collectible art work to everyone who believes art should be fun!!"

May 23rd-La Donna Reynolds-Jacksonville, FL-"I first saw PetetheCat at the Arts and Crafts Festival in Fairhope, AL. I was born and raised in the quaint little town, but had not been back to the Arts and Crafts festival in over 10 years. I was actually on a trip out to Texas and decided to stop by because it was the weekend of the festival and I enjoy it so much. I was so very pleased, being the cat lover that I am to come across the beautiful display of Pete, whom I fell in love with instantly. I was so impressed with how James captured the very distinct and loving personalities of Pete that I entered a drawing put on by the local ASPCA to win a print. I must say I wanted to win the print so badly that I signed up for several entries. The drawing was recently held and unfortunatly, my name was not drawn, however, that is not going to stop me from getting a print. I took back with me a lovely brochure and shared it with all my local cat lover friends, but we have all agreed that we are having a hard time selecting which one we want first! So, we have all made a wish list and are slowly putting them in order as to who is going to what PETE! We are having so much fun and want to just say, PETE YOU ROCK!!! Keep Striking a POSE!"

I was already enthralled when I saw the first thumbnail but much to my surprise, not having known anything about Pete before I started browsing the thumbnails, that Pete has visited my hometown of Savannah, GA! Pete is Phenomenal and I am absolutley smitten with this kitten."

May 2nd-Sara Parish-Franklin, TN-"I went to school at UGA, but now I live in enemy territory (Tennessee)I have to have anything with UGA on it in my house. I ran into Pete at the frame shop in Athens and took home 2 Pete prints instead. Now I have Dawgs and little blue cats in my house."

April 25th-Anthony Pennington-DeLand, FL-"Pete is without a doubt the coolest cat around. He obviously has great taste in paintings and travel locations. I think it would be awesome to have a collection of drawings where Pete likes to travel. I'm leaving for Savannah, GA tomorrow on business and hope to stop into one of your galleries and pick up a print of Pete in Savannah. I think Pete should come visit Disney in Florida. Maybe a print of Pete wearing mouse ears and in red suspenders would be a hoot."

April 18th-Tisa Houck-Chattanooga, TN- "I was tickled to see the article about this unique animal art, esp. for a unique cat like Pete. The picture of him on the Harley caught my eye and lured me into reading about this clever artist. I would love to give a print to my son who has 2 cats"!

April 11th-Rachel Szemborski-Dunwoody, GA-"I saw Pete at an art festival in Atlanta. Loved it....."

April 4th-Shannon Smith-Chattanooga, TN-"I hope you pick me to win a print. I have had folk art drawings done of one of my dogs and one of my cats. I plan on doing the same with my other 2 dogs and 2 cats. I think that immortalizing a pet in such a way is a wonderful way of honoring them. My dog died the day after Christmas, and the drawing of her makes me smile every time I see it."

March 28th-Patti Cross-Pensacola, FL-"I was at the Fairhope Arts Festival. Pete is cool! He reminds me of a cat I know named Squeaky. I stayed at the Pete booth forever. I think he is great...I am such a dog person with a basset named Bailey...but I have gotten to know a cat named Squeaky that has turned me on to the cat world. I love the "Dog in the Bedroom" pieces. Also, Sadie Bell and Pete going for a ride is awesome. The Fairhope Arts Festival was a nice break for me to get away from the devastation we are still seeing from Hurrican Ivan in Pensacola. I am so glad Pete came to our area and I hope it was an enjoyable experience."

March 21st-Jessica Ward-Birmingham, AL- "First saw the artwork in Wrapsody in Hoover, AL. Then I found the website and did a little bit of research on James Dean. As I am a student at Auburn, I love all the Auburn artwork! War Eagle! By the way, I am a huge fan of Pete now!"

March 14th-Susan Carroll-Birmingham, AL- "My daughter in Atlanta has her own (black and white) Pete the Cat. I have 2 cats myself."

March 7th- Josh Durham- Gulf Shores, AL- "I have showed my friends at school Pete. None of them believe me when I tell them I've met James. I visted him once with Ms. Thomas, and I remember all of the Pete paintings everywhere. I will get my driving permit in April when I turn 15. My parents have waiting for me an orange 1971 VW. I already drive it some illegally in the neighborhood with my mom. I'm a good driver though. All of my friends and me like Pete in the cars and Pete in the famous paintings. I'll be getting my first job during spring break. I hope to be able to buy a Pete print then.

February 28th-Mandie Scullion-Americus, GA- "My College roommate sent me a Pete email and I was instantly enamoured with his blueness. Pete is the quintessential feline, a sort of "Everyman"....er, I mean, Everycat. I can't wait to start my PetetheCat collection."
